I have been an oracle developer for past 2.5 years and now get a chance to move into Informatica development
Will it narrow down my skill set.I am not talking about paycheck, mostly concern about future prospect and kind of fun I will get to work with it

I don't think so; you'll just know more different things.
You know how it goes: if you are a specialist, you know more and more about narrower and narrower area of interest. Finally, you know all about nothing. The opposite (your way): you'll know less and less, but about many things. Finally, you'll know nothing about everything.
Just kidding!
Anyway: from my point of view: I know quite a few people who use Oracle, but I nobody I know uses Informatica. That really doesn't have to mean anything, especially from YOUR point of view, your future plans, market in your country etc.
